It's the poster for my show. The text reads "Live Nation & Corrie McGuire Management Present” and then across the disco ball it reads “Katie Pritchard” in a retro 70’s font in bright pink and white, and underneath that sits the title “Disco Ball" in the same font in blue and turquoise. I am holding the disco ball in both my hands above my head. And I'm doing a classic cheese grin. I'm wearing a silver giant sequinned top and a gold necklace which says "Disco". Next to my right armpit it reads "An explosion of joyful lunacy (Shortlist)". Either side of my name I have "Winner Musical Comedy Awards - Winner 2Northdown New Act Competition” both written in laurels. “As seen on Harry Hill's Clubnite Channel 4" sits next to my right ear. Along the bottom sits my show information for Edinburgh fringe - “18:05 (60 mins) - 3 to 29 August (not 15th) - @katiepritchards - Pleasance Courtyard venue 33 - Pleasance.co.uk” - and a QR code ticket link.
Here I am in my black rainbow stripey jumpsuit. I've got my red belt and red shoes on, and I am holding a giant silver disco ball above my head.

BRITISH COMEDY GUIDE RECOMMENDED

“Fans can expect more bleak life lessons, songs and games from Phil Ellis and his new gang, which sail over the heads of slightly baffled children and land big laughs with the adults.” British Comedy Guide

“Unhinged chaos…In this updated edition (which, he claims, has been made more diverse after a slew of allegations against its previous incarnation), he’s joined by the stone-faced musical comic Huge Davies (playing Orphan Wizard Boy) and the ever-likeable Katie Pritchard (playing a Fairy Mother), both of whom have sordid stories about how they’ve ended up on team Funz and share a chemistry that more than matches their leader’s eccentricity. ” ★★★★ The List

“Gloriously unhinged Teetering perpetually on the edge of cancellation — and thriving in that chaos — it’s a family show that gleefully blurs the line between wholesome and wildly inappropriate…This reboot boasts a fresh, diverse cast including Huge Davies and Katie Pritchard, whose musical prowess adds a surreal sparkle to the madness.” ★★★★.5 RGM

“This time around, Ellis is aided in his attempts to control the anarchy by deadpan Huge Davies as a non-copyright-infringing Orphan Wizard Boy – who has even less rapport with the kids than Ellis – and Katie Pritchard as a jaunty, upbeat, and limelight-stealing Fairy Mother.” ★★★★ Chortle

“Despite claiming to be “only there for the money”, the enthusiasm and talent of every performer indicate otherwise. Their dedication to creating a thoroughly entertaining children’s show is commendable. With a solid grasp of what both children and their adults want to see, this skilful production is certainly worth your time.” ★★★★ Broadway Baby

“Our host is joined by comics Huge Davis and Katie Pritchard, as the Orphan Wizard and Fairy Godmother, to complete a trio of team captains. The show is loose, with a structure that allows off piste adventuring with deeply fun results…Ellis is so leftfield he’s got a whole arable farm on the side, but he always keeps great fun at the heart of all his efforts. Funz and Gamez rebootz mixes children’s punchlines with adult asides – ambushing sensibilities repeatedly, to make this a deeply enjoyable show with the spirit of Peter Pan for all ages.” ★★★★ Entertainment Now

"JACK AND THE BEANSTALK"

WORTHING PAVILION THEATRE

2022-2023

ROLE: Jack

“In the role of Jack Trott, Katie Pritchard trots out some pop favourites as faithful to the originals as one could ask for. Being fun and bubbly, Jack quickly befriends the audience and her winning positivity is shared by her forever friend Prince Louis played by Mark Read.” – Sussex Local Magazine

Katie Pritchard makes a very welcome return to Worthing and is playing the character of Jack. Katie will be familiar to many from her star turns in Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast last year when she charmed the audience as one half of comedy duo Phillipe Philop. Away from panto, Katie has a successful career in comedy and recently completed a very popular run at the Edinburgh Fringe. Not only does she bring her humour and energy to the role, but also a cracking set of pipes for belting out the show tunes.” – Mummy’s Waisted

"BEAUTY AND THE BEAST"

WORTHING PAVILION THEATRE

ROLE: Crepe Suzette

“As with her previous role as the Fairy Godmother, the singing comedy whirlwind that is Katie Pritchard stole the show for me. Starring as half of the comedy double act this time around, Crepe Suzette still had the opportunity to belt out a solo and charm us all with super glue on her head.” – Mummy’s Waisted

“The hugely entertaining additions to the ‘script’ are the daft duo, Philippe Philoppe and Crepe Suzette (Josh Haberfield and Katie Pritchard), who give us non-stop frolics and frivolity at regular intervals.” – ★★★★ Theatre South East

“Part of the cast is the lovely bundle of fun that is Katie Pritchard, who won Musical Comedian of the Year a few years back. She’s a real talent, and every time she steps on stage, the energy of the show lifts.” ★★★★ Roviews

“When the kid sitting next to me exploded into a fit of giggles during Katie Pritchard’s ridiculous number about paying taxes (“Tax Man”), I knew this was no ordinary tea-time nibble of a show. I wish I had been so engagingly exposed to the concept of paying taxes when I was that young.” ★★★★ A Young(ish) Perspective

“With its whip-smart writing, infectious energy, and multi-skilled cast, A Jaffa Cake Musical is a treat of a show” ★★★★.5 The Reviews Hub

“Katie Pritchard is the cherry on top, playing countless characters but absolutely smashing it as the ‘Tax Man’, a dragged up, old-timey, villainous representation of HMRC itself.” ★★★★ The National Newspaper

“The whole cast were engaging, with excellent singing voices, delivering their roles with flair and humour. Standout performances by Katie Pritchard and Sabrina Messer were magnetic and stole the show.” ★★★★ Broadway Baby

RECOMENDED BY: The Guardian, The Stage, Whats On Stage, Musical Theatre Review, Corr Blimey, The Recs, The Crush Bar, Mickey Joe Theatre, Theatre Weekly

“Katie Pritchard steals the show with a bowler hatted, black suited routine from the satanic one herself (The Tax Man).” ★★★★★ Theatre Monkey

“A personal favourite being ‘The Tax Man’, a number and character both products of pure comedy brilliance, which demands a lot from its execution. But no fear, Katie Pritchard in drag could not be a more perfect choice and boy, does she live up to the challenge, having the entire audience in stitches with her portrayal of the elusive ‘Tax Man’ that haunts the nightmares of every UK resident.” ★★★★★ Stage to Page

“Sabrina Messer is incredible in the role, with stunning vocals and a knack for impressing the audience at every turn. Equally impressive is Katie Pritchard as the villain of the piece, the Taxman.” ★★★★★ Theatre Weekly

“‘Tax Man’ suited Pritchard’s voice to a tee, and her fantastic riffs and solid dancing make the number a highlight of the musical.” ★★★★★ The Indiependent

“Katie Pritchard is wonderful as ‘Tax Man’, the villain of the piece and is a wonderful character actress as well as having an incredible voice too! Katie plays several roles in this piece, showing a magnificent diversity in her acting skills.” ★★★★★ Curtain Call Reviews

“My highlights were the tongue-in-cheek celebration of all things HMRC in “Tax Man” performed with buckets full of physical hilarity by the incredible Katie Pritchard.” ★★★★★ London Theatre Doc

“Perhaps my favourite moment being when Katie Pritchard, the Tax Man, delivered the best song about taxes since The Beatles.” ★★★★★ North West End

“There was no weak link, but, for me, the standout performances came from Katie Pritchard in a brilliant turn as the villain of the piece, the taxman – she’s an absolute powerhouse, everything she touches turns to comedy gold – and Sabrina Messer as the prosecuting lawyer, displaying fabulous vocal and dance skills.” ★★★★★ Theatre and Tonic

“There are some astonishing singers amongst the team and the song which is about a Tax man brings the house down.” ★★★★★ Phoenix Remix

“A Jaffa Cake Musical is a showstopper of entertainment that will leave you longing for a  cast album, a West End run and perhaps a little cake (it is a cake, that’s not for debate in my books!).” ★★★★★ Forge Press

“Katie Pritchard as the Tax Man steals the show with a lot of humour in the role coming from an observationist, self-aware logic and boiling down this huge umbrella concept into common sayings and realisations. Pritchard’s appearances as this character add an element of fun villainy that we love to hate, like a pantomime villain but more sophisticated.” ★★★★ Broadway Baby

“In the courtroom, however, there were two clear stars: the Judge (Alex Prescot) and the Tax Man (Katie Prichard)…as always, the baddie had a killer song to introduce themself and a wonderful motif whenever they reappeared. The Tax Man was an excellent villain to write in and the HMRC and VAT jokes gained some of the biggest laughs of the show. Prichard not only belted her songs brilliantly; she was also hilarious with her villainy and almost had the audience rooting for her. The song ‘Tax Man’ itself was one of the heights of the show: witty and well-written, it was a wonderful watch the first time around and loudly welcomed when it returned as a reprise.” ★★★★ Ed Fringe Review

“The Tax Man (is) played by the human dynamo that is Katie Pritchard” ★★★★ The Stage

“The standout song comes from Pritchard, who sings about being the ‘Tax Man’, a deliciously dark and funny villain number with some incredible riffs.”                           ★★★★ The Spy In The Stalls

“Katie Pritchard rounds out the ensemble, a powerhouse as the Tax Man, stunning with crystal clear high notes when she’s not evoking Lea DeLaria with her rocky growl.”   ★★★★ Corr Blimey

“‘Tax Man’ (Katie Pritchard) wrings every twist of ‘baddie-ness’ with great timing.”   ★★★★ Musical Theatre Review

“There is a wonderful, fiendish performance from Katie Pritchard as The Tax Man.”  ★★★★ British Theatre Guide

“Given Alex Prescot and Katie Pritchard’s standout performances, their solo shows are definitely worth checking out as well!” ★★★★ The Quintessential Review

“But the real “villain” of the piece was the pantominesque Katie Pritchard (the tax man) who, for me at least, had the most memorable number entitled, appropriately enough “Tax Man”.  Great voice, superb comic timing and the ability to deliver a number of delightful character vignettes when not being the voice of the evil HMRC.” HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SHOW – Fringe Review

“The standout performance has to be from Prichard who dazzles and captivates audiences in her solo vocal sections and hilarious Tax Man performance.” West End Best Friend

Katie Pritchard as Rosie brought the giggles to this Giggle Mug Comedy production tenfold.  She just had funny bones and a simple move, look, or deadpan delivery flexed against the perfect intonation brought the house down time after time.  My friend actually choked on her drink at one point she was laughing so much!”

“Katie Pritchard delivers strong vocals and big laughs in equal measure.”

★★★★ A Young(ish) Perspective

“Katie Pritchard plays Rosie, she has phenomenal stage presence and great energy and takes us on a (spoiler alert!) hugely entertaining journey to the “dark side” – she’s also an incredible musician, I lost count of the instruments she played during the show.”

★★★★ Theatre & Tonic

Katie Prichard as Rosie delivered so many laughs and really packed a punch with her vocals, her energy, and her comedic timing. It’s always delightful when an actor can gain laughs just from a comical delivery of one line, or simply through physical comedy. I found myself really chuckling each time Katie was front and center. Not to mention, her impressive ability to simultaneously play a recorder and kazoo.

Again, Katie Prichard continued to shine through as the comedic heart of the show.”
